Functionality
The rectifier automatically adjusts the supplied current to the engine’s demand, unlike transformer devices that supply current statically, which increases battery safety.
After activating the start function, the device waits for the moment when the engine needs electricity – we do not have to rush to the vehicle to start it in installments. Only after turning the starter key does it supply more current needed to start the engine.
This solution guarantees safety thanks to a stable output voltage . It is suitable for both buses and passenger cars.
Thanks to IGBT technology, the rectifier is much smaller than transformer rectifiers, which makes it more compact.
The device is made of the best quality components.
IGBT technology
IGBT transistors (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) are semiconductor electronic elements that combine the features of a bipolar transistor and a field-effect transistor (MOSFET).
The main features of IGBT transistor technology are:
High efficiency: IGBT transistors have high energy efficiency, which makes them efficient power switches.
High conduction efficiency: IGBT transistors are capable of carrying significant electrical currents, which makes them used in applications requiring high power control.
Higher collector-emitter voltage: IGBTs have the ability to handle higher voltages compared to traditional MOSFETs, which is useful in high-voltage applications.
Thermal Protection: Many IGBTs have built-in thermal protection mechanisms that prevent overheating, improving the reliability of the devices in which they are used.
Wide applications: IGBT transistor technology is widely used in frequency converters, switching power supplies, power control systems, electric motor drive systems and many other devices requiring effective power control.
Application in industrial electronics: IGBT transistors are used in industrial devices, such as inverters, which allow precise regulation of the speed of electric motors and the conversion of electrical energy.
In short, IGBT technology is a key element in the field of power electronics, enabling advanced control of electricity in a variety of industrial and consumer applications.
